Beauty Begins at Home: Banana Honey and Orange Face Mask




so what do you get when you mix a ripe banana, 1 teaspoon of honey and the juice of an orange .... you get a very delicious face mask of course duhhh !!!

 i love trying out new things and this face mask was no exception why spend a fortune on face masks when you can do them at home for next to nothing i will definitively recommend it for people with dry skin my skin felt so soft and nourished when i had finished.... well don't take my word for it try it yourself and let me now what you think

1) you mash up the banana

2) you mix in the teaspoon of honey

3) squeeze the juice out of the orange

4) spread spread spread all over your beautiful face

5) rinse it off and see the results for yourself

..... you wont regret it

Beauty Begins at Home: Skin Care Routine





Heya guys this is a new series i am doing called beauty begins at home its all about finding easy ways to treat and pamper yourself from the comfort of your own home so i decided to do my first video for this series and it is  my skin care routine  it is a practical skin care routine that every girl can have without having to take out an overdraft lol most products mentioned are simple and can be found at http://www.simple.co.uk/  they do a variety of products to suit all different skin types so please don't be hesitant try it them out their ethos is  basically no nasty chemicals go into their products and i absolutely love it as they say simple things please simple minds lol

Chocoholic Brownies




In honor of 4th of July i decided to do a classic all american recipe and i chose brownies yum yum. No i am not american but if there is any celebratory band wagon i can jump on trust me i will these brownies are extra delicious i also add a splash of vanilla essence it give its that little umph hope you enjoy check out my video tutorial regarding making these oh so heavenly brownies xxx


Ingredients

  • oil, for greasing
  • 350 g dark chocolate, broken in small pieces
  • 250 g unsalted butter
  • eggs
  • 250 g dark brown sugar, preferably muscovado
  • 100 g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder

1. Heat the oven to 170°C/gas 3. Lightly grease a 22cm square cake tin.

2. Melt the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water.

3. Whisk the eggs and sugar together for 2-3 minutes until smooth and fluffy.

4. Fold the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.

5. Sieve the flour and baking powder into the mixture and stir to mix. Pour the mixture into the cake tin.

6. Place on the middle shelf of the oven and bake for 35 minutes until the surface is set. It is cooked when it just starts to crack on the top. Remove from the oven. Allow to cool completely in the tin.

7. Slice the cake into squares and store in a tin or in a container in the fridge.

Simple but still beautiful


This was the view from our balcony last night isn't it beautiful ? waking up to this view is so worth it. Sometimes it just makes you put your life in perspective its not always about the money and the fast pace of living sometimes all you need to do is take a step back put the kettle on and just take in your surroundings and just enjoy the simple things in life you get the greatest feeling of contentment ever xx
